The lady commissioning this portrait painting, having a lovely Victorian home, wished her portrait to be of herself as a Victorian Woman. She supplied photos of herself and of the gown you see in the painting and chose to be painted to the waist with blended color background.

Vintage Painting - Child Portrait
For this custom portrait painting, the family supplied a vintage studio photo of the family's father when he was a child. It was their wish that he should be painted as seen - a full standing figure (full figure portrait) with studio background in modified sepia color tones, painted in acrylic on 16 x 20 canvas.
This is a fine example of a Vintage Children's Portrait painting from a photo, a very old studio photo, taken many years ago.
